ABOUT US

A LOVE THAT IS EVER STEADFAST

Delta Zeta was established on October 24, 1902, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

The Beta Lambda chapter at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville was established on campus in 1933.

Our purpose is to unite our members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, to encourage one another in the pursuit of knowledge, to promote values-based living, and embrace social responsibility.

Delta Zeta’s mission is to be a lifelong, values-based membership experience for women.  Delta Zeta’s vision is to be a global women’s organization whose shared values truly inspire action and impact lives.

With over 400 collegiate sisters, we carry these six shared values which serve as a guide for our membership journey: friendship, curiosity, generosity, empowerment, citizenship, and belonging. Delta Zeta's colors are rose and green, our flower is the killarney rose, and our mascot is the turtle.  Our badge is the Roman lamp, and our jewel is the diamond.
